Time to enjoy Summer Wine!

Say that I enjoy wine is probably an understatement. I grew up with wine being served at meals. Children were even allowed to partake in smaller glasses of dinner wine during special occasions. In Woodinville Wa  (where my grandparents lived) were two beautiful wineries. As a kid we would watch hot air balloons take off and land in the fields near the wineries. Later teenager the city started launching fireworks every 4th of July. Experiences like those created lasting memories that forever connected me to both wineries. As I grew older my appreciation for wine grew from something to enjoy during a meal, to connecting me with those and many other wonderful memories. During the summer months I really like to find some nice light and refreshing summer wine to go with all the memories made.Montes Cherb Rose Wine comes from the Colchagua Valley. It is a combination of two varieties of grapes. 83% Syrah grape and 17% Grenache grape. By blending the two grapes together you get both the complexity of a nice smooth refreshing grape and a fruity grape together. The wine contains 12.8 alcohol volume and is best served chilled between 54 and 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Since this one combines both a red and a white grape it can compliment a variety of different types of foods including salmon, sushi, cannelloni, lasagna, and other pastas.Kaiken Terroir Series Sauvignon Blanc comes from the Gualtallary zone located in Uco Valley. The wine is made up of grapes, citrus, flowers and fruits. It offers a beautiful clean light green color with a very pleasing aroma. The Citrus and herbal notes provide a perfect finish to the Terroir Series. This wine contains a 11.5% alcohol volume and is best served chilled between 53 and 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Sauvigon Blanc best pairs with: goat cheese, asparagus, zucchini, fresh peas, artichokes, oysters, and delicate fish like sole.No matter what type of wine you are looking for this summer both of these wines are sure to provide excellent entertaining and food pairing options for you during the hot summer months.
