If you are looking to travel, but want a more authentic Argentine experience, here's my list of 10 Spectacular things to do in Argentina. I've grouped 9 tourist activities that everyone must try while they're in the country. Enjoy!

1. Marvel at the Perito Moreno Glacier

The Perito Moreno Glacier is one of the most spectacular things to do in Argentina. This glacier, which is located in Los Glaciares National Park, has been melting since the 1940s. However, it is still one of the most impressive glaciers on Earth and is definitely worth seeing.

The best time to visit is between November and March when there are fewer crowds and the weather is milder. There are several ways to get there from Buenos Aires including bus tours or renting a car with a driver but these can be rather expensive so you might want to consider taking a tour instead.

You’ll have plenty of time to explore this area as well as other attractions such as Lake Argentino, where you can go canoeing or fishing or Lake Viedma where you can take a boat trip around its shores (you may also want to visit El Calafate). You can also head off into Patagonia where there are many national parks and reserves that offer great hiking opportunities.

2. Experience the thrill of a milonga

Milongas are a special type of tango dance performance that are held in Argentina. They are great fun and you will find yourself dancing all night long!

Milongas are usually held at a restaurant or bar, but they can also be held in clubs. If you want to experience the atmosphere at a milonga, you should go early so that you can get a seat near the stage where the dancers perform. You should also try to get there early if there is going to be any kind of show before the dancing begins. It is always good to have an idea what time the show will start so that you do not miss it. The show may be included with your admission ticket or it may cost extra.

You only need one thing to dance at a milonga: your own two feet! If you don't know how to tango already then don't worry because everyone starts out with no skills at all and learns as they go along. Besides, there will be plenty of people around who can help guide you through the steps of tango dancing so that you do not feel intimidated by anyone else's skill level.

3. See southern right whales close-up

Southern right whales are one of the most majestic creatures in the world. They can be found throughout the southern hemisphere, and in particular, Argentina. The best time to see them is between January and March, when they migrate from Antarctica to warmer waters.

The best place to see these incredible animals is Reserva Natural Ria Deseado, about 2 hours south of Puerto Madryn on Patagonia's Atlantic Coast. The reserve is home to many other species as well—including penguins, sea lions and other mammals—as well as birds like albatrosses and petrels.

So if you're looking for something spectacular to do while visiting this country's beaches and mountains, consider taking a trip down south where you can get up close with some truly majestic creatures!

4. Explore the Ruta del Vino

The Ruta del Vino is a spectacular thing to do in Argentina. The route takes you through the country's wine-growing regions, and it's a great way to get more familiar with the country's culture and history.

You can choose from several different tours, depending on how much time you want to spend on the road. Whether it's a weekend getaway or an extended vacation, you can find what works best for your schedule.

The route itself is beautiful and full of interesting sights. You'll see everything from vineyards and wineries to historic buildings and monuments that have been preserved since colonial times. There are also plenty of opportunities to learn about the region's winemaking traditions—and maybe even try your hand at making some wine yourself!

The Ruta del Vino also offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities like biking through vineyards, so if you're looking for something more active while still enjoying the scenery then this might be just what you're looking for!

5. Get a taste of the gaucho way of life

Gauchos are Argentina’s cowboys. They live in the pampas and spend their days taking care of cattle and horses. Gauchos don’t have much, but they are used to living off the land and they know how to survive with few resources. The best way to get a real taste of this way of life is by going on a horseback riding tour through some of Argentina’s beautiful landscapes. You will see all kinds of animals, including wild boar, deer, foxes and even pumas!

You can also learn about gaucho culture by visiting their homes or at least tasting some delicious traditional dishes made from beef cuts such as chorizo (spicy sausage), morcilla (blood sausage) or vaca frita (fried steak).

6. Look into the Devil’s Throat

Devil’s Throat is one of those places that you have to see for yourself. It’s a natural phenomenon that is hard to describe, but it’s something that must be seen to be believed.

The Devil's Throat is located in the Iguazu Falls National Park in Argentina. The falls are a series of waterfalls on the Iguazu River and they can be seen from above and below at Devil’s Throat.

This beholding sight  was created when the Iguazu River changed its course over time. Over time, the river eroded away part of the rock and created this incredible hole in the ground.

Devil's Throat can only be reached by boat or helicopter because there is no trail leading up to it! That’s why if you wish to get closer to nature you should consider taking a guided tour through Devil's Throat when visiting Argentina.

7. Drive along Ruta 40

Ruta 40, or “Route 40”, is the main highway that runs from Chile to Mendoza, Argentina. It's also known as the “Andean Highway”, since it stretches through some of the most beautiful landscapes on Earth.

The road itself is a trip back in time: it was built in the 1940s by Polish prisoners of war who were captured during World War II. They worked tirelessly on this massive project for over thirty years—and even today, you can see relics of their labor throughout the route.

But what makes this road so spectacular (and why it's such a must-visit) is that it winds its way through some of Argentina's most beautiful landscapes: mountains and valleys, forests and rivers, deserts and lakes! There are countless ways to enjoy your journey along Ruta 40. You can also camp out under the stars at night, hiking through national parks, there are endless possibilities!

8. Hike in the Patagonian Andes

The Andes are a beautiful range of mountains that stretch across South America, with peaks that reach as high as 22,000 feet above sea level. These mountains are home to some of the most spectacular hiking in the world.

The Patagonian Andes are located in Argentina and Chile, and it's possible to take guided tours through the area or to hike independently. There are several well-known routes along this mountain range, including the Torres del Paine National Park in Chile and El Chalten in Argentina.

If you're interested in hiking in this region, there are many things to consider before you go out on your own. First of all, make sure you're physically fit enough for such an endeavor because hiking through snow-covered mountains at high altitudes takes a lot out of your body! More importantly, make sure that you have adequate gear, everything from good boots to proper clothing will help keep you safe while traveling through these areas. This is one of the best places on earth for hiking enthusiasts—you'll never forget your trip through these magnificent mountains!

9. Climb South America’s highest peak

If you're looking for a truly spectacular thing to do in Argentina, then look no further than the country's highest peak: Cerro Aconcagua. This colossal mountain stands at 22,841 feet and is an incredible challenge to climb.

Climbing Aconcagua will take you through arid mountains and across frigid glaciers, but the journey is well worth it when you reach the summit. From here, you can see beholding sight.

The best time to climb Aconcagua is between December and March, when winter has passed and spring weather starts to settle in. But no matter what time of year you decide to go (and if you can handle a huge climb), this is one trek that will make for an unforgettable experience!

There you have it. The nine spectacular things to do in Argentina that should not be missed out on. We really hope that you will take the time to visit this wonderful country and explore these places for yourself when you can.
