Need a sweet idea for a Mother's Day gift? How about some delicious chocolate chip cookies? But, not just any chocolate chip cookies. How about cookies made from Miss Myrtle's fabulous recipe!

So, now you may be asking, “Who is Miss Myrtle?” Well, Miss Myrtle was a woman and mother from St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. She loved to bake and was known for being quite talented at it, too! According to the products' website, “Her (Miss Myrtle's) cakes, pies, and loaves of bread were the talk of the neighborhood. However, her chocolate chip cookies made her a childhood legend.” And now her son has made it possible for all of us to enjoy Miss Myrtle's delicious cookies!

I had the opportunity to try two varieties of Miss Myrtle's Chocolate Chip Cookies: her regular and dark chocolate chip cookies. And, what I love about these wonderful treats is that they are made with natural ingredients and all of the ingredients' names are recognizable. For example, the regular chocolate chip cookies contain: unbleached flour, cane sugar, brown sugar, butter, eggs, salt, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and chocolate chips. And, that's it! So, no ingredients with complex chemical names that have you wondering what you are actually eating. (The dark chocolate chip cookies have the same ingredients as the regular, but with the addition of cocoa.)

You can purchase Miss Myrtle's cookies in the form of treat bags, “biggies” (3-inch cookies), and a gift basket! They also come in other varieties, including with walnuts or macadamia nuts. They would make an inexpensive gift that mom (and the family) can enjoy! And, you can order mom's gift from the comfort of your own couch! Place your order and, when you receive it, simply tie a bow on it and attach a sweet card. Voila! You've got a sweet gift for mom that she can savor and enjoy! Product packages range in price from $8 to $20 (not including shipping and prices are subject to change).  So, visit Miss Myrtle's Cookies website and see what they have to offer.
