Back To Using Candlelight
Let's Get Back To Using Candlelight
I don't know about you, but I love using real candles. The ones with LED are certainly ok and safe, but I love the flicker of the real flame. I also love the different scents that candles can come in. One of my favorites is the Spiced Vanilla from Illuminations. My goodness, this candle smells so darn good! I truly enjoy sitting with my Illuminations candle, while the flame dances in the dark. Not only is it romantic but it's also so relaxing to me. I'm not sure what it is about a lit candle, but it even improves my mood. I know, I'm probably weird! Instead of using the same old lights you should try a change and use candlelight one night. I bet your kids would even enjoy it!
Electricity Went Off
I remember back when my kids were little and we were getting ready to eat dinner. Unfortunately, it was in the middle of a huge snowstorm and the electricity went out. At first, the kids were scared, but after we lit a bunch of candles, they actually thought it was pretty cool. It was such a fun change. Eating while those beautiful candles flickered made my kids not only appreciate electricity, but they also learned how much they loved that night. It was fun and after the electricity was put back on, they asked if we could use candles again on another night. I thought that was pretty neat!
You Must Be Safe
Obviously, when using candles it's a little riskier than using the lighting in your home. But, as long as you keep an eye on the candles, make sure they're not next to anything flammable, and certainly, don't fall asleep or leave the house with them lit, you'll be fine. Another obvious thing when using candles would be not to let little ones or pets near them. I doubt I even need to mention that, but I figured I would, just in case!
So, try something new and use Illuminations candles while eating, bathing, or just for the heck of it. After you smell them, you'll light them for the wonderful scent too. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! Oh, did I mention that they're beautiful to look at too?
