13 High-End Motorcycles Setting the Standard in 2024
People have different definitions of luxury. To some, high price tags equal luxury, others want comfort, and we’re sure there are those who only care about appearance.
It’s the same in the world of luxury motorcycles. Here, we find stripped-down lightweights built using the finest materials and most expensive components, and super-comfortable cruisers packed with amenities.
To ensure we’ve included something for everyone, we’ve chosen 13 amazing luxury motorcycles that are available in 2024.
BMW R18
The BMW R18's styling design is inspired by the BMW R5 model from the 1930s, and it’s certainly stylish and eye-catching. Those looking to individualize their BMW R18 can pick and choose between a vast selection of optional extras from BMW's massive parts catalog.
BMW went with a large boxer engine with a whopping 1,802cc displacement. With 91 horsepower (hp) and 116.5 lb-ft of torque, it’s no slouch. It does need that power, though, seeing as BMW built the bike mainly using metal, not plastic, so it weighs in at a rather hefty 788 lbs.
Honda GL1800 Gold Wing
Honda has set the gold standard for touring bikes with its Gold Wing. This model has been around for 40 years, and a boxer engine has powered every generation.
The Gold Wing is low, long, and wide, making it look mean and imposing, but once you’re in the saddle and riding down the open highway, few machines can match its comfort levels. Riders are even treated to a whole host of electronic assists and luxuries, including built-in navigation, a multi-speaker sound system, adjustable cruise control, traction control, load handling, and even onboard heater levels.
Triumph Rocket 3
Few motorcycles look as monstrous as the Triumph Rocket 3. It’s an absolutely massive bike, powered by an equally monstrous 2,458cc engine that churns out 165 horses and 163 lb-ft of torque. While it may look as agile as a supertanker, it’s surprisingly fun in the twisties.
Triumph’s engineers may as well be magicians, as they’ve somehow managed to make the Rocket 3 power cruiser handle like a nimble sports bike. It’s also been given some excellent high-end components and perhaps the best build quality of any Triumph motorcycle.
Indian Roadmaster Limited
Indian’s Roadmaster Limited is one of the best touring bikes on the market. It has a nice, plush seat that’s comfortable for hours on end, individual heat controls, an electronically adjustable windshield, Bluetooth, navigation, sound system, and plenty of other gadgets.
Thanks to its air-cooled Thunderstroke 116 engine, it has plenty of power for overtaking slower traffic. With 36 gallons of waterproof storage, there’s no need to worry about the luggage if you have to ride in the rain.
Norton V4SV
Norton has been in financial difficulties for as long as we can remember, but things have improved since TVS took over the reins. The revived British manufacturer’s flagship sportbike has now been completely overhauled and re-engineered.
It offers stunning design, great build quality, high-end componentry, and fancy gadgets, like the rear-facing camera and big TFT dash. It’s not all show and no go either, as it packs around 190 hp.
Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide Limited
Harley’s CVO Road Glide was launched in 2023 to coincide with the Milwaukee-based company’s 120th anniversary. With new, liquid-cooled VVT engines, inverted forks, lighter chassis, and uprated tech, the large cruiser is better than ever.
Then, there’s the Road Glide Limited, a no-expense-spared luxury model that gets even more luxuries and comforts, better infotainment, hand-applied paint, and a real gold plate.
BMW K 1600 GT
There’s no doubt that Honda and Harley-Davidson make more famous luxury cruisers than BMW, but the Germans may have built the best one. The K 1600 GT is undoubtedly much sportier than the Honda Gold Wing and H-D’s Glide series, making it much more fun in the twisty sections.
Nestled in the K 1600 GT’s frame is a large 1,649cc inline-six engine that churns out 160 hp and 133 lb-ft of torque. This model also has a comfortable saddle, advanced suspension, and several ride modes. It could very well be the perfect companion for riding from coast to coast.
Kawasaki Ninja H2 R
Kawasaki isn’t usually the first brand to be mentioned when luxury motorcycles are discussed, but the Ninja H2 R certainly is a luxury item. Especially since it costs more than most sensible cars, and it’s not even road-legal. That’s right, forking out nearly $60,000 gets you a bike that can only be ridden on racetracks.
Then again, the H2 R is only available in limited quantities. It has 310 hp and a top speed north of 200 mph. It’s also decked out in carbon fiber and exotic parts. If you look at it that way, it’s almost a bargain.
Brough Superior SS100
Founded in 1908, Brough Superior was known as “the Rolls-Royce of motorcycles” until production ceased in 1940. In 2016, the brand was revived, and these luxury motorcycles are now built in Toulouse, France.
Brough now offers different models, but all are produced in limited numbers and cost a small fortune. The new bikes are inspired by the original’s design and style and are truly rolling art pieces.
Arch KRGT-1
Arch is a motorcycle company founded by Keanu Reeves and Gard Hollinger. There’s more to the Arch KRGT-1 than the celebrity ownership, though. Priced around $90,000, it’s certainly not a bike for everyone, and on paper, it sounds like something that’s built to look good in an exclusive collection.
However, that’s not the case. The KRGT-1 is packed with high-end componentry, billet aluminum, and artisanal craftsmanship, and Keanu test rides these bikes within an inch of their lives, so it’s actually meant to be ridden.
Arc Vector
According to Arc (not to be confused with Arch), the Vector is the world’s most advanced electric motorcycle. It emerged on the market in 2022, dripping with style and expensive carbon fiber.
The Arc Vector looks like something we’d expect to see in the I, Robot movie, or maybe Tron?! It’s packed with electrical marvels, and the motor produces over 115 hp. Unfortunately, most of us will never ride one, as it’s built-to-order and costs around $140,000.
Aston Martin AMB-001
The Aston Martin AMB-001 is the British luxury carmaker’s first motorcycle, born from a collaboration with the aforementioned Brough Superior.
Only a handful of AMB-001s will be made, and they’re all powered by a 997cc V-twin producing 180 hp. While it looks and sounds like a superbike, the creators insist it’s a prestigious work of art for the motorcycle connoisseur. Costing around $150,000, we certainly wouldn’t want to crash it.
Combat Motors Wraith
We certainly wouldn’t call the Combat Motors Wraith a beautiful bike, but it’s definitely exclusive. Those who want to order one will have to put down a non-refundable deposit of $100,000. The total price for the finished motorcycle is $155,000.
For that money, buyers get a bike that’s carved from solid billet blocks of military-grade aluminum, a massive S&S V-twin engine, and more tech than you can shake a stick at. Tom Cruise has one, so it must be worth the money.
