Who Doesn't Love Books With A Purpose? You Know The Kind, Books That Teach Us Lessons And Values
Whether you have little kids or teens, I have some wonderful books for them to read. These aren't the boring “read just to read” books. These have a purpose! They will teach lessons and values while giving your child/teen great self-esteem or just tools to deal with bullies. I love it when an author thinks about the bigger picture. Cherrye S. Vasquez, Ph.D. definitely thought about that and more. She recently sent me some great books to read and of course, I love every single one of them. I can't wait to read them with my granddaughters!
The First Book With A Purpose That I Read
No Tildes On Tuesday (by Cherrye S. Vasquez, Ph.D., and illustrated by Daan Yahya) is the first book in the same storyline that I talk about below. Isabella is a little girl that has to move to a new place. This is the beginning of everything, even before she starts school. She is a bi-racial little girl and that is something she wants people to understand! I love that this book teaches how important it is to see the whole person, not just a certain “race” you think you see. There's so much more to this so please go and get this book! Your family will be so happy that you did.
The Next Book Is About The Same Family
Clique, Clique, STOP (by Cherrye S. Vasquez, Ph.D., and illustrated by Daan Yahya) is all about Isabella that has to move to a new house and school. We all know how hard and challenging that can be! However, instead of dealing with it in a negative way, she decides to make a new club. This club isn't like any other one. This will bring together every single person that is willing to join. She wants to make the “cliques” stop so that everyone can feel involved and not just left out. It's a very uplifting story and I happen to love it. This is the second book to the “No Tildes On Tuesday” and I believe the message is so very important.
I also received The Christmas Swap, Santa's Super Sleigh!, and A Bully Blueprint (that every family should have!). All of these are available on Amazon or you can just click the links I've provided. They're all authored by Cherrye S. Vasquez, Ph.D., of course. If you have little ones or teens, please check them out! You won't regret it.
