What is it about boxes that cats are automatically drawn to? Because I do a lot of reviews I receive several boxes per week, sometimes even during the course of a day. I get massive boxes all the way down to itty bitty boxes. No matter how big or small a box is my cats will find a way to fit inside of them. They love boxes. I have to laugh about that sometimes because I spend a small fortune on cat toys, furniture and bedding and all my cats really want are some boxes which I can get for free.

Because of cats love for boxes a company call Cat House Systems has created a product specifically for our crazy cats and their love of boxes. They are called Catty Stacks.

Catty Stacks are a system of durable, modular boxes that can be stacked and secured together to design colorful “kitty condos” and tunnels. Best of all they can be taken apart and re-arranged, giving your cat a new configuration to enjoy on a regular basis. They can also be taken apart and folded down to store away when not in use.

The double walled cardboard is constructed to be incredibly strong and will support up to 40 pounds of weight when distributed equally. Two 20 pound cats? No problem! Stability is no problem either..a good rule of thumb to follow is that the number of vertical boxes should not exceed 1 more than the horizontal number of boxes…so if you stack 4 boxes high, you should have at least 3 boxes at the base. I have 5 VERY active kittens playing with our Catty Stacks and the structure never moves.

The cardboard used to make Catty Stacks is recycled, recyclable, colored with vegetable based inks (5 colors to mix and match), takes reusable hardware and is shipped with minimal packaging. The heavy duty industrial strength cardboard, as I said before, is incredibly strong, but when a unit does show signs of wear, simply throw it in the compost pile and order another to take it’s place!

Catty Stacks is MUCH less expensive that the other cat furniture I’ve purchased and it’s modular design makes it easy to create unique shapes and configurations allowing you to change things up as you .

Catty Stacks have been just the thing for these little heathens and 75% of their playtime seems to revolve around them in one way or another. They love it when I hide treats in the Stacks and never ever tire of chasing the laser or a dangled toy through the openings!

Wouldn’t a corner tower leading to a Catty Stacks lined shelf mounted to a wall be cool? Oh the possibilities are endless and only limited by your own imagination!

Each box has hole cut out of it on each side, allowing you to set them up anyway you see fit and allowing your cat to enter from any side. The holes can also be made larger if you have larger cats. I left some of the holes the original size and made some holes larger to allow for room for my bigger cats.

Catty Stacks are available on their website or if you prefer, check the handy dandy product locator to find a retailer near you! Connect with Catty Stacks via Facebook and Twitter

The nice people at Catty Stacks are nice enough to let me do a giveaway to one of my  readers a chance to win FOUR Catty Stacks cubes! Thank you so much!

I have 2 cats, Sam was a rescue cat, he had been set out back in nov. I was calling for Boots my other cat and I could hear a strange meow and I told my husband something was wrong with Boots, she didn’t sound right. Sam came to the door and we could see his ribs, he was so hungry, I fed him and he has been with me since, he is such a loveable cat.

Well, as of yesterday we can add 2 more to the mix. We snatched and rescued 2 feral kittens. We are calling them pixel and bit. I have sexed them as a male and female about 8 weeks old. She is a gorgeous calico and he is a grey tabby. I don’t think we will have any trouble taming and find homes for these beauties.
