9780310748243-jpgWhen we were younger, our Christmas traditions were the best. I can remember my mom reading the night before Christmas to us, and Pa dressing like Santa and scaring me. That was our Christmas Eve for the longest time. Those are some of the best memories we had, and we have always taught my sister’s kids that they were loved by our parents. Having traditions is something  thats, passed down generation to generation .

This year I was able to get this great book, Christmas Love Letters from God: Bible Stories, and we will give it to our nephew Liam. So he will be able to share with his baby brother and one day his own family.

Written for children ages four to eight, Christmas Love Letters from God cleverly combines both prose and poetry as the story of Jesus’ birth unfolds. The book includes seven stories, beginning with Isaiah’s prophecy and ending with the visit of the wise men. Following each story, the child will find his or her own letter from God, folded into a small envelope attached to the page. Each letter begins with a space in which to write the child’s name, so each one can be specially addressed to the child.

Written as if God is speaking, each personalized message gives the young reader a sense of wonder as they discover anew the Christmas holiday and the birth of Jesus. A very special Bible verse, entitled God’s Perfect Promise, also accompanies each story and letter as God’s personal words of love, promise, and hope.

Being able to show your child where , Christmas came from and how its celebrated now is great. This book highlights some of the best Bible stories related to the Christmas story itself. Each is retold for the young audience, and includes a short memory verse. At the end of each story, there is a lift-the-flap letter from God that can be personally addressed to your child.  What a great holiday gift , any child would love it .
