Now that its summer we will be having more pool parties, that means family and friends over for sun and fun. Our family and friends love to have a drink here and there and we always have, stuff handy for when they come over.

Being said I am always looking for something new and exciting to introduce them too, and I found it OLD Forester, this can be used to add or make a perfect drink. Old Forester’s provisions have something to cater to every cocktail craving.

From the Grandiflora Syrup, which makes an incredible Sazerac by just adding Old Forester Rye, to the Perfect Old Fashioned Syrup, which truly makes the perfect Old Fashioned with Old Forester Signature 100 Proof, to the Oleo-Saccharum Syrup, which makes a refreshing traditional punch, perfect for summer. Plus, Old Forester provides a variety of bitters in their provisions line, giving endless possibilities for bourbon drinking.

Old Fashioned Syrup

Raw sugar, proprietary blend of Old Forester Bitters

JACKIE'S INSPIRATION

This “just-add-bourbon” syrup is meant to create a classic Old Fashioned the way Jackie Zykan would make it.

Perfect Old Fashion

Ingredients

Instructions

Combine ingredients in mixing glass. Stir with ice. Strain over large ice cube in double old fashioned glass. Garnish with lemon and orange peel.

Smoked Cinnamon Bitters

INGREDIENTS

Cedar wood smoked black tea, Old Forester Kentucky Straight Bourbon whisky, black pepper, cinnamon, wild cherry bark, gentian root, clove

JACKIE'S INSPIRATION

The Smoked Cinnamon Bitters were inspired by my Paternal Matriarchs. My grandmother’s den always had a faint smell of sooty, wood burning fireplace. She used to make “whiskey cookies” every Christmas (which were just baking spice packed fruit cake cookies she added a generous helping of whiskey to), which as a child made you feel like you were getting away with something by being allowed to have one.

River Parallel

Ingredients

Instructions

Combine first three ingredients in mixing glass, stir with ice. Strain into chilled rocks glass which has been rinsed with absinthe/anisette. Garnish with lemon peel

INGREDIENTS

White sugar, proprietary Old Forester bitters blend, anise, beet

JACKIE'S INSPIRATION

This “just-add-Rye” syrup is meant to create Old Forester's take on the classic Sazerac cocktail. When made correctly, the classic cocktail should smell of Magnolia grandiflora blossoms, and this all in one mixer delivers.

These are some of the most perfect drinks and I will be serving them at our parties and see what people think. Nothing like some drinks and some fun to make it all right,
