The bed is a major item of furniture in every home. It’s where we lay down at the end of a hard day and get some much-needed rest. There are lots of different beds you can choose from, and I’m going to go through some of the best options for different rooms in the house.
A single bed is exactly what it says on the tin; a bed for one person. Beds like these are usually quite small, which means you can fit more than one in a room. A wonderful choice for a kids room, particularly if you’ve got two kids sharing one bedroom.
Double beds are probably the most common bed you’ll find in the house. It’s highly probably your home will have more than one double bed. They’re essentially like single beds, only big enough to fit two people in. A fantastic choice for your kids bedrooms, but perhaps a bit too small for the master bedroom.

King Size Bed
A king size bed is like a double bed, only bigger. It gets its name because it’s so big it’s fit for a king. These beds come in loads of different styles and are extremely spacious, making it comfortable for two people to lie in. King Size beds are the perfect accompaniment to any master bedroom.
These beds are absolutely perfect for your children’s room! They come in a couple of varieties, the traditional one being two beds stacked on top of eachother. They’re a brilliant way to fit two beds in a room, without taking up too much space. Alternatively, you can get ones with a bed on the top, then a desk/playing area underneath. Either type makes for a good kids bed, mainly because it gives them so much more space to play in!
A great choice if you’re looking for something different and versatile. These fold away bed mattress are good because they’re not just a bed, they also double up as a sofa. Most sofa beds are easy to use and it only takes a matter of seconds to go from sofa, to bed. A sofa bed can make a marvellous addition to a guest bedroom, or the downstairs living room.
Why not, eh? Water beds are a fun little twist on the classic beds we’re used to sleeping in. They’re very unique, and certainly interesting to sleep on! A water bed can be great in any bedroom, but probably not advised for kids. You don’t want to be woken up by the sound of water bursting everywhere from inside their room.
Everyone’s going to have to go through the process of buying beds for their bedrooms. Hopefully, you’ve found this list of ideas helpful if you’re beginning your search. You also have to remember to get a mattress for your bed too. Again, these come in many different varieties. My personal favourite is a memory foam mattress because it’s very comfortable to sleep on! Of course, we all have different tastes, so choose one that you feel most comfortable lying one.
