Having a huge family that loves to have some drinks when they get together we try and keep the bar nice and stocked they all have different tastes in what they like to drink we do have some wine drinkers and recently I was able to get some great wines for them to try out when they, get together.
2017 Cala De' Poeti Montepulciano D'Abruzzo D.O.C.
Made from 100% Montepulciano grapes grown in a restricted territory on the picturesque central Italian hills, 2017 Cala de Poeti Montepulciano D’Abruzzo is dry and harmonious, with aromas of tobacco and leather. This medium-bodied red was aged in oak for six months, resulting in a robust, ruby-red wine that pairs perfectly with pizza, pasta, meat dishes, and any flavorful Mediterranean foods.
2017 Marquis de Bacalon Bordeaux Blanc
While almost 90% of the wine produced in France’s legendary Bordeaux region is red, Bordeaux whites are made with the same care and eye for detail as the region’s reds. For example, 2017 Marquis de Bacalan Sauvignon Blanc thrilled us with its sophistication. This vibrant white is a pale lemon color with green tints, a fantastically fresh nose of citrus, white peach, and honeysuckle, and a gentle creaminess on the palate.
2016 Velata Bobal/Grenache Rosé
From the Valencia region, this rose petal pink Rosé is made from a blend of classic Spanish Bobal and Garnacha grapes. 2016 Velata Bobal Grenache Rosé shows an abundance of strawberry and cranberry aromas, with a potpourri of fascinating floral notes. The palate is soft and plush, supporting delicate berry fruit notes and a long, clean finish.
2012 Bambera Reserva Tempranillo
On the nose, dried goji berries and cranberries meet a gentle hint of leather in this aged red from Spain’s Valdepeñas. The palate has a rustic texture with a subtle brininess followed by a ripe burst of fruit and smoky vanilla leading into a long, smooth finish.
