Fun Activities To Enjoy Outside in the Fall

There’s no need to feel down now that summer is over and the cool fall air is arriving. The fun is just beginning, and we’ve created a list of fun activities to enjoy outside in the fall. Follow along and prepare to crunch the leaves and enjoy some gooey s’mores.

Make a Leaf Pile

Remember those days when you waited for the leaves to fall so you could rake them up and jump in them, only to have to rake them again? There’s good news—no matter your age, you haven’t outgrown jumping in leaf piles. Give it a try. Ask the kids to join you or have a good laugh on your own.

Visit the Apple Orchard

It’s apple picking season, and great smells and flavors await you. Grab the family or a few friends and head to your local apple orchard for the perfect outdoor fall activity.

Orchards are pleasant, simply to walk around and get fresh air or enjoy some apple picking, apple cider, and everyone’s favorite: apple cider donuts. Why would we ever want fall to end?

The Pumpkin Patch

When apple season ends, pumpkins take center stage. Enjoy tractor rides out to a pumpkin patch where you can pick your own pumpkin. Then, go home and enjoy some pumpkin carving.

Stay Warm With a Fire

The backyard isn’t off limits when the warm weather says farewell. If you haven’t already, make this fall the season you put a fire pit in your backyard or on the deck. There are many styles of fire pits to choose from and there’s something for everyone, so make sure you select the fire pit that best suits your lifestyle and home. Fire pits are the best way to keep the outdoor evenings going through every season.

Fall Camping

Speaking of fires, fall is the perfect time to go camping. The cool, crispness in the air, especially when in a wooded area, is exhilarating. As a bonus, mosquitoes take a hike in the fall, making camping even more enjoyable. Don’t forget hot dogs and marshmallows for roasting over the campfire.

As you can see from our list of fun activities to enjoy outside in the fall, cooler weather doesn’t mean staying inside. Bundle up and start raking those leaves. Then, treat yourself to a warm fire, s’mores, and laughter when you’re done.
