First of all, what does sous vide cooking mean?  Before we jump into that, let's learn how to properly say the words.  It sounds like sü-ˈvēd (or sue veed).   The meaning is easy!  It simply means to cook food in a vacuum-sealed pouch.  Why would you want to do that?  It keeps all of the juice and aroma inside of the food instead of leaking out onto the pan.  Sounds pretty yummy, am I right?  There are different companies that offer equipment to use, but I recently received the Anova Precision Cooker Pro along with a beautiful Anova Precision Vacuum Sealer (and bags!).  I'm so excited and I can't wait to get started.

I will obviously be using my Anova Precision Cooker Pro after sealing my food.  Apparently, the main reason people use this device is that it's almost error-proof and the food tastes like a professional cooked it.  Now that sounds pretty darn good to me!  Who doesn't want to be complimented after making dinner?

How easy is it to use together?  Well, let me give you the 3 steps.  You simply clip the cooker to a pot or container of your choice.  Fill with water.  Next, you season your food and seal it into the bag.  Drop the bag into the water and clip it to the side of the pan.  Choose from the many recipes and set your temperature/time.  Now, sit back and relax while the cooker does all of the work for you!  Enjoy!
