A car is a solid investment, so it needs quite a bit of time and effort to maintain it for good performance, mileage and also a good resale value. As a car's engine ages, its performance level decreases and the oil starts to break down at an increasing rate. - Pay attention to outward signs. If your car is leaking oil or coolant, it could indicate a serious problem. Look carefully at your driveway or parking space for oil stains or spots that can warn you of possible fluid leaks.
- Minimizing any scratches is always a great practice towards making your car looks great. So, when you are cleaning your car don't forget to take note of any chips or scratches in the paint. These should be repaired immediately to avoid rust.
- Checking under the hood on a periodic basis can help you to spot problems before they become costly. It is best to conduct the check when the car engine is cold, i.e. not after the car is being used and that the engine is hot.
Even if it appears that there is nothing wrong with your vehicle, you should get it serviced regularly at your local auto body shop. Better to be safe than sorry!
