As a mom of two Scouts I am constantly searching for lights that operate on solar power. For two main reasons: 1. we live in Sunny South Florida so it makes sense. 2. I don't like packing batteries that will get forgotten about and then leak out acid later when I find them again. Many solar lights however don't last long on a days charge. Mpowered has created the Luci 2.0 Solar light that is compact, yet bright and effective!
The Luci Outdoor 2.0 Inflatable Solar Light is versatile and easy to use. You simply charge it in the sun and then it's ready to use. Unlike other Solar lights I have used the Luci 2.0 lasts for up to 18 hours and it even has a side where you can check the battery level so you know when it needs to be charged. There are four light settings on the Luci 2.0: low, bright, super bright, and 1 sec flashing. Since the light is inflatable it's easy to expand and use as a lantern for camping or hook to any bag for hiking!
What makes the Luci 2.0 so awesome:
- Compact: 2.5 cm collapsed
- 4 modes: low, bright, super bright, 1 sec flashing
- 10 ultra bright LEDs
- High efficiency solar panel
- Charge level indicator
- Lightweight
- No batteries needed – just the sun
- Charges in 7 hours in direct sunlight
- Lasts up to 18 hours on low setting
- Adjustable bottom strap/fixed top strap
- Waterproof: IP67 rating
- Operating temp: 15°F – 122°F (-10°C – 50°C)
- Lithium-ion rechargeable battery
- Functions as a flashlight
- 1 year warranty
Of course if you think this light is only for camping then you are mistaken. Since the light fold small I have been carrying it around in my diaper bag. I cannot tell you how many times it has come in handy already! Just last night my son was frantically searching for his homework page that he folded up (why? I don't know). He comes into the house shrieking at 13, “Mom I can't find my homework page It's due tomorrow and I can't see outside it's too dark”. Honestly, I had to laugh a little but then I had him calm down and take out the Luci 2.0 and sure enough he found his folded piece of paper that was his math worksheet.
The Luci 2.0 Inflatable Solar Light was exactly the on the go light I didn't know I needed and with 18 hours of charge time I am sure to have enough time to find/use and recharge before my light runs out! I know that I am ready for my next adventure and my kids just think that blowing up the lantern is so cool! LOL (they are so full of Hot Air)!
