This Is Not Your Common Weighted Blanket – This One Is Knitted By Hand
I have severe anxiety, which means I have panic attacks. I've been dealing with this for quite a while now and nothing seems to help. I've even tried different kinds of weighted blankets to no avail. I had never heard of Bearaby, until now! They sent me their Cotton Napper Weighted Blanket that's hand knitted and oh, so soft. The one feature I noticed that others didn't have is the comfort you feel when it's laying on you. No kidding, it's helped me so much! I can't say that all of my anxiety is gone, but it has certainly helped me feel more relaxed and safe. Honestly, it feels like a great big hug from someone you love. What could be better than that?
The Knitted Weighted Blanket
My weighted blanket is made of comfy cotton and I chose mine to weigh 25 pounds. It comes in many beautiful colors, but mine is Moonstone Grey. I didn't know this, but apparently, the weight of the blanket stimulates the production of serotonin, which is the hormone that makes you “happy”. It also increases melatonin, which is the hormone that helps you fall and stay asleep. One other thing it does, which amazed me, is that it decreases the stress hormone, cortisol. My poor body knows all about that darn hormone. I wish it didn't, but it does. However, I know I'm certainly not alone, especially with the state of our world right now.

One of my favorite things about this beautiful addition to my bed and/or sofa is it has big knots in it. I mean, it's like being knitted with a large, cushiony rope that surrounds you lovingly. There are even times that I play with the open areas with my fingers so that it keeps my mind occupied. It helps when you're anxious! Oh, and you don't have to worry about it having any harsh fillers. This organic cotton is even sustainable!
What A Wonderful Gift This Would Make
As I said, I believe a large percentage of our population are having issues with anxiety. This means that pretty much everyone would benefit from any of their weighted blankets. There are more to choose from, other than the cotton one that was sent to me. There's even a Velvet Napper if you can believe that! I'm sure you can use your imagination as to how soft that one is.
