This summer is nearly over; it’s sad to admit but, unfortunately, true. However, that just means you can start thinking about your next summer vacation. Actually it’s a good idea to start this early for lots of reasons that I’m going to get into. So, whether or not you are already thinking about Summer 2016, here are some great tips.
Start Planning Now!
As I said, this has some great advantages. For one thing, you will find your next vacation ends up being a lot cheaper if you book this far in advance. But there is another reason to start now. You can cut out the stress of having to do everything at the last minute. You don’t want to be rummaging around for your passport two weeks before you leave. Then, when you finally find it, you discover it needs renewing. But, that isn’t as bigger problem as it seems because you can now renew them online. Click here for more info on that and maybe even start the process of preparing your next vacation.
Choose The Right Destination
If you have kids, you are probably thinking about the ultimate family holiday. When thinking about destinations I would guess Disney World is pretty high on most families wish lists. Probably because they have never been. For what you’re getting, the cost of Disney is insane. There are certainly great times to be had in Florida, but I’m not sure they are worth nearly ten thousand dollars! Again, if you want to cut this in half your best choice is to book well in advance. If you buy a July ticket to a place like Disney now it will cost around three to four thousand.
But, you could avoid the nightmare queues you are sure to face all together by booking somewhere a little different. There are plenty of largely unknown locations perfect for a family getaway and I recommend researching a few. This is one way of making your next holiday unique.
Write A Checklist
You should not underestimate how many things you need to think about when planning your next vacation. From, travel, booking hotels and parking, it is easy to forget something. That’s why whenever I travel, I always write up a checklist on my phone of things to do. That way, I can keep track of what I’m doing, and I know exactly what is left to organise. It takes a big weight off my shoulders.
Try Something Different
I’m sure you are looking at luxury hotels when booking your accommodation. But you could go down a different route by renting out an apartment, particularly if you are visiting a city. These luxury condos can be rented at a fraction of the price of a hotel, and you get all the home commodities you are used to included. That means you can cook your food rather than spending a fortune at restaurants and on takeouts.
I’m sure you’ll find at least one or two of these ideas useful booking your holiday. So enjoy what’s left of this summer and look forward to 2016.
