Some people have romantic summer flings; I'm happily married and what you do, isn't my business. But, I'm not talking romance – I'm talking about an end of summer fling with food!

I suppose these recipes could be for a summer date night or other romantic occasion. I know there's several on this list my husband and I would rather eat anyday over most 5-star restaurants.
Yet, as summer slowly dwindles into fall, this may be the last chance for a lot of us to take advantage of cook-outs and fresh, seasonal ingredients. Why not make the most of it and whip up a few of these summer inspired treats, or better yet, throw a bon voyage to summer soiree, and make them all? I've also thrown in some useful infographics, that might come in handy, so make sure you save these recipes somewhere safe!
Comment and let us know! Do you and your family cook-out? What are your favorite things to throw on the grill?
For us, I'm a pescatarian (basically a vegetarian, but I eat seafood every so often), so we don't do a lot of meat in our house. I do love to grill, though! I soak corn in sugar water and grill it with herb butter; I make enough to last me all week! Plus, once we've taken “dinner” off the grill, I throw bulbs of garlic on, drenched in olive oil, salt and pepper, and let them roast overnight, with the residual heat.
Have you ever grilled fruit? Lots of fruit taste amazing when grilled, but our favorite is peaches! Cut in half, remove the pit. Douse in melted butter, sprinkle with brown sugar and either cinnamon or apple pie spice, and grill (baste with melted butter and whichever spice you used while grilling to keep moist). Serve warm with vanilla bean ice cream.
TIP: Add just a pinch of salt to fruit, whether grilling, baking or eating raw. Trust me.
Also, how do you like your steak cooked? I miss steak (and tacos!) most of all…always liked mine mid-rare.
And –
The great debate! Propane or charcoal?
