Sleepy During the Day?

I have the worst sleeping habits.  Maybe it is just me but I am up half the night and then so sleepy and tired during the day I swear I could go to sleep and as soon as my head hits the pillow to actually GO to sleep, I am wide awake.

I used to work the overnight shift from 11 pm to 7 am which I thought would be easy because after all, I was up half the night anyway.  Well, I soon found out there is a huge difference being awake laying in bed rather than being awake and actually trying to get things done and being productive. Needless to say, that time was not too long because my body just could not hack it.  Luckily I was able to switch but many others are not and need to be alert and productive during their time working when they have no choice but to work that shift.

I tried caffeine pills once.  I do NOT recommend ever taking caffeine pills.  My heart was beating so hard I literally felt like it was going to bust out of my chest and I was seriously having palpitations.  I hated that feeling and will never ever take a caffeine pill ever again. That is just my own personal experience though.  I do not think they are that good for you and I think they take a huge toll on your system as caffeine is a stimulant.  I will drink a large coffee and not get those effects so not sure why the caffeine pills did it to me, but they did and I will stay away from now on.

If you have trouble staying awake during the day or need a little help, you can look into armodafinil online   Modalert is the brand name for modafinil. The side effects of modafinil are wakefulness, cognitive enhancement, mood enhancement, alertness and in some cases, mild euphoria.  Some people also experience appetite suppression (which to me would be a great side effect to have for me).  The prescription drug for this obviously costs a ton and unless you have great insurance it may be worthwhile to check it out and see how it compares.

Now obviously I am not a doctor and do not claim to be, so maybe you want to check with yours if you want to look into it.  I am not giving medical advice or diagnosing a fool proof way to be more alert, just trying to create awareness that there are other things out there other than caffeine pills which caused havoc for me after taking them only one time.  You can check  it out for yourself here and see if you (and your doctor) think it is right for you.
