Special Gifts for Sports Fans

If you know a sports fan, buying them a gift might be a little confusing for you. If you’re not a sports fan yourself, you might have no idea whatsoever to buy them. Of course a sports fan will always appreciate a sports related gift, so take a look at this list and pick one of the special gifts here to help you:

Tickets to a Game

If this person is a fan of a specific game, why not buy them tickets to go and see one? Depending on what the sport is and the team they like, it might be really difficult to get your hands on some. But if you can, they are sure to appreciate and remember it forever! If you can’t get them tickets to see their team, then going to see another team might be just as exciting and a good experience for them.

A Sports Kit

Wearing a sports kit shows pride in the team they love, so they will always appreciate a new sports kit – especially if it’s new season. Football shirts and baseball jerseys are extremely popular, so look into those. Just be sure that they are from a legitimate retailer, as many fakes are circulating these days. You don’t want to buy a fake jersey as a gift without realising!

Sports Memorabilia

There are all kinds of different sports memorabilia you can look into buying. Sports collectables include signed jerseys, equipment, and similar items. Signed items are always really exciting to receive from sports fans! If you can buy them a famous piece or even a replica of a famous piece, they’ll treasure it forever.

My job at the All-Star Game was to handout gift laptops to the players courtesy of my employer Dell. I was stationed at the "signing room" which in the case of the National League was in an underground batting cage off the locker room. This is a photos of a bucket of well-used battinr practice baseballs.

Sports Equipment/Accessories

If the person you’re buying for enjoys playing the sport they are a fan of, why not give them some equipment or accessories as a gift? Research their sport if you don’t know much about it, and be sure to make a note of the things they already own so you know what you’re buying them will be appreciated. Something like this will definitely put a smile on their face when they see how much trouble you’ve gone through to get them something they’ll like!

A Desktop Game

If this person works at a desk often, why not buy them a desktop game? You can get desktop golf, soccer, pool, and lots of other games. This can be a welcome break from their work for them, and they’ll think of you whenever they play. At the very least, it’ll make a quirky addition to their work station.
Hopefully, these gift ideas for sports fans have given you lots of ideas and inspired you. Maybe you’ve thought of a totally different gift to buy them or you’re taking something right off the list. Let us know in the comments, and leave any of your own unique ideas below. You’ll be very popular if you can buy something rare or signed, just make sure you stick with a budget to avoid spending a fortune. Good luck!
