Let's face it, men's socks can be boring. Do you know how many times I've picked up men's dress and/or athletic socks as part of my husband's Christmas, birthday, or Father's Day gifts and just felt so “blah” about it?

I mean, I've been married to my husband for 25 years. The dude…has…everything. And, honestly, we actually like getting useful gifts from each other. Neither one of us do a lot of shopping for ourselves; it's just not as much fun as shopping for each other or for the kids.

So part of my Christmas gift to him this year was socks, and (funnily enough) he also chose several new sets of socks for me. And they were the biggest hit! Each of us ripped open those suckers and put a pair on immediately and it was pure comfy feet heaven!

My issue with men's socks, in particular, is that they are kind of boring. Mostly what I find are solid colors, which is fine. But sometimes it's just fun to do something different. Also, he likes thicker-type socks that have the comfort factor of an athletic sock.

Finally, I may have found something that I can get him for multiple occasions and still have a little bit of a surprise element to it with Prince + Pete Eco-Friendly Bamboo Men's Socks.

Another neat thing I discovered is this little pocket inside the top edge of one of the socks. It would be a great little place to stash some extra cash, a key or something like that, too.

This little hidden pocket contained a fun little piece of licorice, a super sweet surprise!

This means that you can mix and match different design socks from within the same collection if you want to be all cool like that (or if you just lose one of a matching set).

Another great feature, aside from the super-soft luxurious comfort, is that they fit snugly without being too tight (a major no-no for socks in my book).

If you're into mixing and matching, it's interesting to note that you can buy these socks either singly or as a pair. It's your choice. I've never known any other company to do that. Pretty cool!
