Tastefully simple is one of the best places, I was given the chance to review three different products from them for an honest review. o far the two I have done have been simply delicious. As everyone knows my sister and my niece love to bake and cook. So when I have the chance to do something awesome like this I do.


The bakers duo is no exception, Sweet bliss for any baker on your list, complete with a honeycomb-texture ceramic paprika baker. what came in this set was Nana's apple cake mix and Almond pound cake and a pretty round bakers dish.

As we already know the apple cake was simply awesome, we had it with a side of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. But there are so many different things you can make with this mix.


Crumbles of warm cake and sweetness of cherries topped off with a scoop of ice cream.

Nana's Apple Cake Mix®

1/4 cup (1/2 stick) very soft butter
1 egg
21 oz. can cherry pie filling**
Whipped cream or ice cream (optional)

Preheat oven to 350°. Mix Nana's Apple Cake Mix with butter and egg with a fork until crumbly. Spread pie filling in a greased 8 x 8 baking pan; sprinkle cake mixture over top. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream. Makes 9 servings.

**Any flavor pie filling may be used.


Just add butter and water to this simple yet elegant dessert. Luscious and rich, it's divine with whipped cream and fresh fruit.


Tasted so good we had it as a simple dessert with some hot chocolate and strawberries on the side. yummy. But like all the mixes you can do more then make the one thing with them.

Lightened Almond Pound Cake Trifle
Our classic Absolutely Almond Pound Cake prepared as a trifle makes an easy and light dessert – perfect for parties!


1 cup water
¾ cup applesauce
1 oz. pkg. instant sugar-free vanilla pudding mix
1½ cups skim milk
8 oz. sugar-free non-dairy whipped topping, thawed
2 cups hulled and sliced fresh strawberries
2 cups fresh blueberries
Plus more berries for garnish

Combine first 3 ingredients; stir to blend. Pour batter into a greased 9 x 5 loaf pan; bake as directed on the package. Cool completely; cube. Combine pudding and milk, whisk 2 minutes; fold in whipped topping. Layer cake cubes, pudding mixture and berries in a clear glass bowl or individual trifle bowls. Cover; chill 1 hour. Garnish with additional berries. Serves 10-12.
