In an effort to make a list of the world's top 10 amazing beaches, you will find yourself faced with a daunting task. This is because there are so many beautiful beaches around the world.

 

There are plenty of other countries with thousands more miles of coastline, which means hundreds of thousands of beaches to choose from when it comes to making a list like this.

 

But what exactly makes a beach amazing? Is it the beauty of the sand and water? Is it the abundance of wildlife or lack thereof? Is it the seclusion or lack thereof? Is it something else entirely? I'm not sure, but I do know this…many people have their own opinions about what constitutes an amazing beach. So what I've decided to do is share some of my views on this subject in hopes that you will be able to come up with your own list of the world's top 10 amazing beaches!

 

1.Radhanagar Beach

 

        Radhanagar Beach is situated in the Andaman Islands and has been voted as Asia's Best Beach by Time Magazine. The white sand beach is surrounded by lush green forest which makes it all the more attractive.

 

2.Elafonissi Beach

 

        The pink sand beaches of Elafonissi are the most unique ones in the world. It is a small island in Crete and it has a beautiful lagoon that separates from the ocean by a strip of sand. It is known for its beauty not only in Greece but across the world.

 

3.Railay Beach

 

        Railay Beach, Thailand, is famous for its limestone cliffs which are very popular among rock climbers from across the globe. It does not have any roads which connect to it and one can only reach there by boat.

 

4.Playa Norte

 

        Playa Norte or North Beach is an island in Isla Mujeres which is situated 10 miles from Cancun, Mexico. Its pristine blue water and white sand beaches attracts around 100,000 visitors every year making it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Mexico.

Kalapaki Beach is located on Kauai's south shore near Lihue town. With a backdrop of mountains and palm trees lining the sand makes this beach ideal for lounging around in the sun or taking a swim in its warm waters. With many hotels nearby and a shopping mall.

 

8. Coron, Palawan. 

 

Coron in the Philippines is another popular destination in Palawan known for its shipwreck diving sites and underwater caves. Coron Island has breathtakingly beautiful lakes, hidden lagoons, rivers and waterfalls. Kayangan Lake is arguably the most beautiful lake in the Philippines with its crystal blue waters and lush green surroundings. It’s also known as Cleopatra’s Needle because of its needle-like rock formations at the top of the lake.
